Reality Show Predictions, Episode 3

March 23-March 29, 2005

Harold reviews his picks from last week and makes his predictions for upcoming shows.

Current Tally Right-Wrong
Survivor 3-0
American Idol 3-2
The Apprentice 0-1
The Amazing Race 1-2

Welcome to another installment of my Reality Show Predictions.

Recap

Huzzah! I got all of my picks from last week correct. Unfortunately, that means we had to endure another miserable performance from Mikalah Gordon this week. I have nothing against her personally, but she just doesn’t seem ready for the big time just yet, which leads us to…

American Idol

I think you know by now that I think Mikalah Gordon will mercifully say goodbye to the show this week. I tried to tell you last week that she wouldn’t make it much further in the competition and I think she proved me correct. Compare her performance with that of Jessica Sierra. Both found themselves in the bottom three, but Jessica came back with an inspired performance while Mikalah failed to return to the qualities that made her stand out earlier in the competition.

Bonus: Based solely on their performances on Tuesday, the bottom three this week should consist of Mikalah, Anthony Federov, and Nadia Turner. While I get the feeling that Nadia will end up in the bottom three due to her sub-par performance and her new mohawk, I get the impression that Anthony still has more fans than Jessica Sierra. I would hazard to guess that Jessica ends up in the bottom three again, but again gets sent back to the bench safe.

Survivor

Alas poor Ulong, we hardly knew ye. I can’t imagine them pulling off a win at this point, and they’ll send home Ibrehem like they tried to do last week.

The Apprentice

Someone “sasses” the Donald in the boardroom this week. I can’t imagine anyone doing that besides Bren, which means the new Magna ends up in the boardroom. Craig, now on Magna, may finally feel the need to try his hand as a project manager. I think despite any possible missteps by Bren, Trump will fire Craig for his failure on the task. I wouldn’t put it past Trump to fire two candidates here either if the boardroom behavior reaches egregious levels.

The Amazing Race

After seeing the preview for the next show, I almost wish that Meredith and Gretchen had gotten eliminated in the last show. I hope Gretchen didn’t suffer any serious injuries. That said, I think they may end up as the last team to finish. However, given the two-hour show, it seems possible that we’ll see the first of the predetermined non-elimination legs of the race.

Last words

Again, If you enjoy these articles, please leave a comment or send me some feedback.

Until next week…
